We've recently launched CoLAB Projects as a natural outgrowth from the international group exhibition program featuring emerging artists + designers that we began in January 2008 under the name BECA gallery. That group exhibition program is now pursuing an expansion under The BECA Foundation and we encourage you to visit The BECA Foundation website at www.thebecafoundation.org  for further information. Beginning on July 4th, BECA gallery will be run exclusively online at www.becagallery.com  where new works of art and design created by some of the most talented and innovative emerging artists and designers from around the world are introduced weekly. All profits from www.becagallery.com  are donated to The BECA Foundation to help fund the growth of the exhibition program and the development of the future large scale BECA Artspace dedicated to the exhibition of works by emerging artists and designers.

CoLAB Projects occupies our physical gallery space at 527 St. Joseph Street across from the Contemporary Arts Center in the heart of the New Orleans Warehouse Arts District. The past 18 months of our exhibition history has revealed to us some of the most exciting and innovative artists on the planet today and we're proud to be representing their works here at CoLAB Projects. Our CoLAB artist roster includes a very diverse group of artists with each artist holding the common thread of producing strong, engaging, innovative and challenging works. We are deeply passionate about the work that these artists are creating and we're very much looking forward to sharing that passion with art enthusiasts, curators and collectors from around the world.

We work with each of our clients to add enrichment and value to both existing and new, developing collections. We are artists, designers and consultants offering a unique perspective, a wealth of diverse experience, knowledge and and a combination of professional services that are not usually available within a traditional gallery setting.

We've built a new gallery philosophy over the past 18 months, one that we hope has removed obstacles to collecting art rather than create them. In our opinion, the old world gallery model is outdated and stuffy and doesn't make much sense within progressive, contemporary life. We're not interested in carrying on the tired elitism left over from old art world models. We don't pursue mystery or favoritism in our dealings and we don't play old art world games. Instead, we bring you the most innovative works on the planet at great prices and we publish our artwork prices openly. Each collector pays the same great price and in return gets the same high value for every dollar spent. We also openly offer customized interest free purchase plans in order to best assist each of our clients and collectors with their acquisitions. After the artwork has safely taken up residence at its new location, we then donate 5% of the purchase price to the non-profit organization of the collector's choice, a practice we've been engaging in here at the gallery since day one.

Thanks to generous insight at the state level, CoLAB Projects is proud to be located in a LA State designated cultural district of New Orleans. With this cultural designation, our location is exempt from charging sales tax on all original works of art and limited editions of 100 and fewer.
